YSAA A DAY AT THE COUNTRY FAIR

YSAA  AT THE FAIR

Monday 27th May saw the club at their first country fair and it was an amazing day and a huge success, we had a stand and fishing area in front of the new castle by the orangery, our aim was to introduce children into fishing, we had 4 swims and the children fished a 4m whip assisted by committee and club members. By the end of the day we had in the region of 50+ children take part and a few adults as well and every one caught fish, some of the children came back 2 or 3 times as many had caught their first fish ever and to see there faces was priceless, our casting competition was also a hit with both children and parents alike, we also promoted the club and the interest from the fair goers was above all of our expectations, we our already looking forward to next year as we have been invited back.

I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who gave up their time and made this event possible
