LONG LOAD MAIN DRAIN DREDGING

In our last few newsletters we have mentioned how weedy the drain was and only a couple of swims you can fish, well I have just received news from one of our members that the Environment Agency have started dredging and weed clearance on the full length of the main drain, they have their floating weed cutting machine and a long arm JCB with a bucket slew, it is our understanding they will be on site for a few days so if you were planning a trip out fishing I would put it off for a few days as all the weed etc they dredge from the drain will be left on the bank, all in all really good news for us anglers.kind regards Gary
