THREE GO FISHING
THREE GO FISHING
For the last two Wednesday myself, Geoff and Chris have been on the bank, last week was the Stour at Christchurch and this week we were on pegs 41A, 41 and 40 on the lake, the weather was overcast and quite cool and windy, myself and Geoff fished the whip at 6m and Chris the waggler, baits of the day were maggot and corn, it was a fish a chuck at the off with the corn picking up the better roach, nice to see skimmers in with the roach, about an hour in my float disappeared and 10ft of number 5 elastic shot from the whip, a zoo creature had been hooked, 20 minutes later a 6lb.3oz common carp came to the surface and then in the net, all three of us caught steadily for most of the morning with many nice roach, Chris was catching at a better rate as he was that bit further out than myself and Geoff, but still lots of fish on the inside, bites slowed up in the afternoon, when we called it a day weights were
Gary 12lb of silvers + 6lb.3oz carp
Chris 16lb of silvers
Geoff 12lb of silvers
Total 46lb.3oz
All in all a pleasant day and a few hours fishing with friends
