C2 CARP

As many of you know we had our lake survey carried out and one of AE Fisheries recommendations was to stock carp alongside an intensive feed program, (full report will be presented at our AGM) the carp will not over run the lake as it is a large body of water but the other fish will benefit their introduction due to the carp stirring up the bottom looking for food and encouraging the other fish to feed.

The carp were supplied by priory fisheries which is in Devon, very local so the fish did not have far to travel, the carp were in pristine condition and were C2s which are 2 year old fish, we put 200 in on the 1st February and they were all 2lb so cormorant proof
